Mini Club Hungary proudly presents the new website of IMM 2012 Hungary! The new site will be hosting all the necessary information, about the organization, the campsite, and all the programs of the event. Several new things and ideas will be introduced by the organizers with the will of presenting the best ever IMM outside England. The launch of the new site is timed to the grand opening of the Techno Classica Essen, because Mini Club Hungary and IMM2012 is the guest of MINI Classics there at the exhibition. Rare and unique Minis has been exhibited on the booth together with a running BMC A Series 1000 cc engine.

Very interesting. Liz and myself will be there.

renting a villa sounds the best idea. Our thoughts are to rent a six berth but share with one other couple. Any offers????

Saud and i will be adding info as and when it becomes available .

We have both registered , its a bit complicated , i suggest waiting a few days so that they can get the thing sorted propperly .

We will be putting some provisional Timetables of when we will be looking at going , depending on how many people are interested will depend on the make-up of the groups.
From previous experience , the groups shold be no bigger that 3-4 cars , grouped into how fast you wish to drive , a fast and a slow group{s} so to speak .

If any one wants any info on Driving through Europe and what to expect you can contact me on her eor send me a PM , i spent 16+ years living in Germany and have Travelled extensively in Europe .

There will be some tips , Hints and  a Kit list  of some of the things you might need .
Please Feel free to add to the Info

Right , so whose up for a Trip to Hungary Then !!!!

Missing this one, personal circumstances at the minute won't allow me the time away. But it'll hopefully be Italy 2013 for me i think. Hungary looks really good too

First of all let me set out some guidelines and information
The most important thing is to make sure your car is fully serviced and checked over, make all those repairs that have needed doing so it's in top condition. If you need help we can sort out a few fix it nights to make sure the cars are o.k. Make yourself aware for the rules for driving in Europe. As it's such a long way to drive I also want to make members aware that on motorways we will be doing a few stints at 70 to 80 MPH especially in Germany

So that said this is our paln so far. We leave on the 20th May from Harwich on the 23:15 ferry. The first leg of our journey takes us to the Nurburgring and an overnight stay at Sliders Guest House this can be booked at your leisure. The next leg of our journey will be our longest drive to of 420 miles to Prague for an over night stay at a hotel yet to be selected. On Wednesday morning we can spend a few hours in Prague then we will Head to Vienna in Austria for our next overnight stop (hotel to be selected) this is a short hop in comparison of 200 miles. I will be going to the Airport in Vienna to meet up with Peanut, Peafin my sister and her daughter . On Thursday morning we will travel the short distance of 170 miles to Lake Balaton this distance we can make shorter by picking the right hotel on Wednesday night.

So it's then obviously a stay at Lake Balaton for IMM2012 Don't forget to register on the official site

For the return journey on Monday the 29th we hope to catch a Motorail from Vienna to Hamburg the train departs at 19.48 and arrives at 8.04. Then it will be a fast drive to the Hook of Holland to catch a 14.30 Ferry home this is a 5 hour drive and will be rushed so those who wish to can catch the 22.30 Ferry. I will buy a Felxi ticket just in case it all goes wrong on the way back

How does that sound?

Sounds great, it'll be a great weekend for you all. If anyone needs help or advice with getting a mini ready for the journey then let me know, i've been setting my minis up for the  riviera run 800 mile round trip for the last 15 years or so!
Not travelling with you this time round but still happy to help  avoid breakdowns

Theres 2 of us from NMOC going over, but we have taken the easy option (hopefully) of flying out due to work.

We have booked a B&B just outside the IMM site.

See you out there
Craig
